Columbus police have a person of interest in the early Tuesday slayings of Terrence J. Clark and Tyesha A. McNair, both of whom died of gunshot wounds, an autopsy revealed Wednesday.

Clark, 21, was found in the parking lot in front of 5224 Crystal Court Apt. B with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, reports state. He died of gunshot wounds to the chest and arm, Muscogee County Coroner Bill Thrower said.

McNair, 21, was in the living room of Apartment D with multiple gunshot wounds to her head. She died of gunshot wounds to her head and torso, Thrower said.

Both deaths are being investigated as homicides, police said. Lt. Steve Cox said there have been no arrests, though his office does have a person of interest in the case.

Police responded to the apartment complex around 3:50 a.m. Tuesday in response to shots being fired, Lt. Lynn Joiner said. There were no signs of forced entry. The motive was unknown.

The slayings came a little more than a week after the death of 26-year-old Jilani Platt, who lived on Crystal Court and whose body was found in a retention pond next to Schatulga Road on Oct. 5. Her husband, Zyderrious Platt, 31, was arrested in connection with the death.
