A 16-year-old Carver High School student was arrested Thursday for exposing himself in class after a female classmate insinuated he was inadequate, police said.

According to a police report, an officer was summoned to the 3100 Eighth St. school at 2:15 p.m. to meet an assistant principal who conveyed this account of the incident:

A girl told the boy he was not well-endowed, to which he countered that he was and he would show her. He then unzipped his pants, in the classroom, and exposed himself. Two boys sitting nearby told authorities they witnessed this as well.

Police charged the boy with public indecency, a misdemeanor, and released him to the custody of his mother.
