Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan's "Journey for Humanity" tour will stop at Fort Benning's Main Gate on Saturday morning.
Her group of military family members and veterans will be on their way from Montgomery to Atlanta when they rally outside one of the Army's most important training centers. Their travels began in Crawford, Texas on July 10th and expect to reach Washington, D.C. by July 23.
Sheehan's son, Spc. Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq in 2004. His death inspired her to form Gold Star Families for Peace. She grabbed headlines in 2005 when she set up camp near President George W. Bush's Texas ranch.
