Auburn University's Center for Governmental Services will host a national symposium on advancing excellence and public trust in government on Monday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

The symposium will be a forum to discuss and develop standards for evaluation of transparency at all levels of government in four primary areas: finance, human resources, strategic planning and technology.

The keynote speaker will be Juan Williams, an Emmy Award winning writer, radio and television host.

Among the other speakers will be Lt. Gen. Harold G. Moore (ret.) and Richard Greene, consultant to the Pew Center on the States.
