Phenix City police seek help with murder

The Phenix City Police Department is seeking information about the murder of Kevin Grimes and the aggravated assault of Larry Norton.

The crimes happened in the early morning of August 20, 2007. Police got a call about a shooting at 4:30 a.m.

Police responded to the intersection of Opelika Road and Stadium Drive. They found Grimes and Norton, both of whom had been shot.

Grimes, 25, was found on the ground and later died of wounds to the chest. Norton had been shot in the left knee.

The state of Alabama is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooter.
