Columbus convenience store robbed

A Columbus convenience store on Buena Vista Road was robbed early this morning.

Police said the Money Back No. 51, 5757 Buena Vista Road, was held up by a man armed with an Army green revolver about 12:30 a.m.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot 7-inch tall black male in his 20s. He was wearing dark clothing and had a blue shirt covering his head and face. He took an undisclosed amount of money from the store and ran toward the Family Dollar store located in a plaza behind the Money Back.

No shots were fired and no one was injured in the robbery. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Columbus Police at 706-653-3400.
