Tour this year’s holiday displays and you’ll see flying angels, Santa’s rock band and a collection of light-up reindeer large enough to put Rudolph’s job in jeopardy.

They’re among the highlights in our annual roundup of local homes with out-of-sight lights.

Check out the printable interactive lights map featuring photos of some especially bright decorations. There’s still time to put your display online.

  • BEYOND COLUMBUS
Taking a road trip? These homes are outside Columbus, but their displays are worth the drive:

    2205 RIDGEWAY ROAD, WAVERLY HALL
An extensive front yard is covered in lights, boasting lots of enticing colors and elegant scenes. Decorations are spaced across the property to keep your eyes entertained.

717 LEE ROAD 850, PHENIX CITY
Bright, multi-colored lights decorate the home’s exterior. Snowflakes in the yard enhance the winter spirit.

    35 WESTSIDE DRIVE, PHENIX CITY
You’ll enjoy elements like snowmen, deer and candy canes. You’ll even catch Santa flying an airplane. Look on the roof for a giant American flag in lights.

    29 FLOURNOY ROAD, SALEM
The festive display includes Santa on the roof, candy canes, snowmen and a nativity scene. Check out the fence covered with lights in the shape of Christmas trees.

    652 LEE ROAD 960, SMITHS
It’s one of the most unique displays of the entire batch — Santa plays on the roof in a rock band named Sleigher, complete with music. Don’t miss the palm tree on the ground, too.

Here’s what to expect at some Griswold-worthy homes in Columbus:

821 and 825 LICHFIELD ROAD

These neighboring homes will keep your eyes busy with lots of bright colors. Together, the displays exude holiday cheer with elements like an inflatable motorcycle-riding snowman, moving reindeer and a light-up nativity scene.

5216 LICHFIELD ROAD

This elegant display includes enchanting snowflakes, along with miniature Christmas trees that dazzle in shades of blue and white.

1340 BLANCHFIELD ROAD

Here’s a scene that will transport you to the North Pole, thanks to items like a snowman family and a candy cane archway. It entertains visitors with a miniature hot air balloon, Ferris wheel and seesaw.

6212 WESTBROOK DRIVE

Santa’s busy at this home, where you can catch him reading a book and popping out of a toy chest. Watch the blinking lights on the roof, and roll down your windows to hear the accompanying music.

6043 ASCOT WAY

This intricately decorated display is a winter wonderland, featuring a stunning set of white trees. Look on the roof and you’ll spot Santa, sparkling snowflakes and more.

5784 IRONSTONE DRIVE

The heaviest hitter of local decorations, the Ludy’s Christmas Spectacular includes approximately 70,000 lights — 19,000 on the roof alone. It’s all set against the musical backdrop of the home’s own holiday radio station.

4500 FORREST ROAD

You’ll find a forest packed with light-up reindeer in this display, which relies primarily on white lights. Check out the back of the home for additional decorations.

3629 DUNHILL DRIVE

It’s hard to escape the holiday spirit with this collection of holiday scenes featuring snowmen, Santas and additional characters like Winnie the Pooh. Don’t be surprised if you’re invited to see the inside, too.

737 BROADWAY

These decorations are anchored by the many angels that fly near the home’s front door. Touches of white lights enhance the display.

12 DEAN DRIVE

Kids will love this home, which features penguins popping out of an igloo, as well as a snowman family under a unique archway. Two light-up signs count down the days until Christmas.

436 CHEYENNE ROAD

Santa lounges in a hammock in this extensive display, which has a cuteness factor bolstered by figures like the teddy bear outside Santa’s workshop. Candy canes hang from the trees.

915 PIEDMONT DRIVE

Giant inflatable toy soldiers greet visitors. You’ll spot Santa riding a train bearing gifts — as the Grinch stands cunningly in the background.
