Rafal Olbinski to discuss art in Auburn

Noted artist Rafal Olbinski will talk about his work Thursday at the Jules Collins Smith Museum in Auburn, Ala.

The talk, which will be at 5 p.m. Central, is in conjunction with an exhibition of his work "New Dreams of Old Values" which will be at the museum through Feb. 28.

Olbinski's talk is free to the public.

Olbinski is a painter, printmaker and illustrator. A native of Poland, he came to the United States in 1981 and quickly established a successful career as a contemporary surrealist artist.

His work has appeared in publications such as "The New Yorker" and "Atlantic Monthly."

He has garnered more than 150 awards for his work.
