Melissa Rycroft, recently dumped by the "Bachelor" single-dad Jason Mesnick after he gave her an engagement ring and the final rose, had only 48-hours to prepare her Monday night waltz to "Moon River" on "Dancing with the Stars."
The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader shows that a broken heart does not cause broken feet.
"It's obvious that you've danced before..." Len Goodman, a score of 7.
"I don't know the 'Bachelor' guy, but he's a loser... (the dancing) it was like watching a beautiful bird just about to take flight." Bruno Tonioli, a score of 8.
"You're just a beautiful dancer." Carrie Ann Inaba, a score of 8.
A pretty good score of 23. What will Molly and Jason think about that?
Holly Madison, a former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner and star of the reality show "Girls' Next Door," was the first "last-minute replacement" on Monday's show.
The judges agreed that she looked wonderful in her orange fringe dancing outfit and long blond ponytail. But will it be enough for her to stay in the show?
Here's what the judges had to say:
"It wasn't bad." Len Goodman, score of 6
"Work on that balance a little bit and you'll be fine" Carrie Ann Inaba, score of 6
"There is hope my darling. Keep working hard." Bruno Tonioli, score of 6
That's a total score of 18. If Bridget and Kendra are voting, she'll likely stay in the competition. What do you think?
Former gymnastics Olympian Shawn Johnson also danced Monday night. How did she do?
"You have the power to move people with your dancing." Carrie Ann Inaba, score of 8
"Surprisingly refined for someone so young." Bruno Tonioli, score of 8
"I found the whole thing very appealing." Len Goodman, score of 7
That's a total of 23.
Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple computers, is dancing with Karina, former dance partner of Mario Lopez. Well, the computer geek didn't drop her. That's good, right?
"I was fascinated by it... but I'd rate it a disaster." Len Goodman, score of 4
Bruno Tonioli, scored it a 4, and had his usual comment about a bull in china shop. Yadda-yadda...
"You are what the competition is all about... You make us want to cheer for you." Carrie Ann Inaba, score of 5
Uh-oh, only 13. That's probably the lowest score of the night.
David Alan Grier, a 53-year-old comedian known for his various facial expressions and ability to play many characters, dances with Kym Johnson.
"When you go and hold you lean too much towards her... One character will suffice." Bruno Tonioli, score of 6.
"You have to be careful, though, with the face... it tends to distract us from your body. Carrie Ann Inaba, score of 6.
"Far more good in that performance than bad.. but your bum sticks out a bit." Len Goodman, score of 7.
That's a score of 19. Must not be very difficult. Bonnie Hunt, hold your breath.
Denise Richards, former wife of Charlie Sheen and an actress, is Poison (at least to Charlie), but will the song choice help her or hurt her?
"You look terrified out there... but I'm proud of you." Carrie Ann Inaba, score of 6
"It's all a little bit loose... it looks as if Maks is pulling you around." Len Goodman, score of 6
"(Dancing) It's like acting. Once you get on top of a performance, you have to stay there." Bruno Tonioli, score of 6
That's a score of 18. Will that be enough? Um, maybe not if Charlie has anything to say about it.
Tune in at 8 p.m. EDT next Monday for the next round of dances.
