Despite damage Sunday night to the roofs of some buildings on Columbus State University's downtown campus, classes will go on as scheduled Monday, said CSU spokesman John Lester.

Four CSU students had to be relocated from their downtown apartments about midnight after their windows were blown out. None of the students were injured, Lester said.

Three windows of CSU's Hardaway Building on the corner of 10th and Broadway were also blown out in last night's storm. Two of those windows are now boarded up. There was some flooding in the building as well. Water is currently being pumped.

Portions of the roof of a building partially owned by CSU and located across the street from the Corn Center for the Visual Arts on Front Avenue was blown off. No damage was reported on CSU's main campus

Along Second Avenue between about 9th and 12th Streets debris was scattered everywhere. A tree was uprooted and the back window of a car was broken either due to high winds or flying debris. There's an awning and twisted pieces of metal in the road as well as tree branches and glass.

Much of the damage from last night's storm seemed to be concentrated in the Lakebottom area.

Today should be partly sunny, with a high near 72 degrees. Wind gusts could get as high as 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight it'll be partly cloudy, with a low around 48 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday there's a 30 percent chance of showers after 2 p.m. It'll be partly cloudy, with a high near 72 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
