Alabama baseball swamped at South Alabama 21-16

MOBILE, Ala. — Buoyed by a 10-run third inning and 22 hits, South Alabama took a 21-16 victory over No. 21 Alabama.

The Crimson Tide trailed 21-10 entering the ninth, where they scored six runs.

Alabama went through eight pitchers who combined to allow nearly two dozen hits while striking out eight.

Josh Rutledge hit the cycle, scored four runs and had five RBIs for Alabama.
