I called my stockbroker and asked, “What are you buying?” He said, “Canned goods and ammunition.”

Spare us

Please spare us the front-page stories on the Rev. Wright. We are not interested in what a self-proclaimed racist has to say.

Pricey pets

I voted for the tax increase so that PAWS could have a new animal shelter. Now, they have increased their prices so high, seniors can’t afford them. Never again.

Outsourcing

I’m going to incorporate my family. I’m the CEO, so I’ll pay myself a retention bonus and move offshore and not pay any taxes yet enjoy the benefits of the United States.

Yes

If Jesus Christ came to Columbus to conduct a revival, would he make the front page two times in a row?

Trade Chipper

The Atlanta Braves should trade their hero, Chipper Jones, and fire Bobby Cox and hire Terry Pendleton, and they would win some ball games.

What money?

To the person saving money for Obama’s next election: If you have that money to save, you must be on one of his bailouts. My savings are gone.

An improvement

It’s comical that anyone would make fun of Biden for verbal gaffes after our eight years of enduring a president who couldn’t speak recognizable English!

Playing the odds

Columbus taxpayers have never seen a local tax they didn’t like, so I am betting on the SPLOST passing.

Do the math

Accusing everyone who’s opposed to unlimited immigration of being a hateful racist is an intolerant, hateful, bigoted claim. Some of us are just better at math than others.

On second thought

It really scares me to think that there are people in this town who believe in Rev. Wright’s ideology. I thought we were better than that.

Monopoly

How can Phenix City prevent other cable companies from doing business in our town? Isn’t this called a monopoly? I thought that was against the law.
