Columbus weather: Temperatures in the 90s, feels like 100

Though temperatures won't really be cooling down over the next few days, some rain is expected to fall this week possibly providing brief pockets of relief from the heat.

There's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. today. Expect sunny skies, with a high near 97 degrees. The heat index will make it feel like 100 degrees.

Tonight there's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m. The low should be around 73 degrees.

Tuesday and Wednesday look like Monday with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. both afternoons and temperatures reaching the mid-90s.
