Cancer symposium planned

The John B. Amos Cancer Center will sponsor a cancer symposium for health professionals "Current Trends in Cancer Care" on July 17.

It will be at the Columbus Regional Conference Center at The Medical Center.

There will be several topics including "Skin Cancer Prevention and Treatment" and "Genetic Testing and the Fight Against Cancer."

The cancer center's director Andrew Pippas will speak on "New Thinking in Cancer Care."
