A search warrant executed today by Lee County authorities at a Smiths, Ala., residence in connection with a drug investigation yielded approximately two pounds of marijuana, thousands in cash, a gun and other drug paraphernalia.

The bust occurred around 11 a.m., CST at 61 Lee Road 584, Lee County Sheriff's Office press release said. A search of the residence by sheriff's office officials revealed approximately $3,000 cash; approximately two pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $2,400; several OxyContin pills; digital scales; a 40 caliber handgun; and other drug paraphernalia, all of which was seized.

The home's owner, Michael Dewey Bailey, 36, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, one count of receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bailey is being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on a $12,000 bond. He was arrested last February by the Lee County Sheriff's Office on similar charges after authorities executed a search warrant at his home, a release said.
