In a recent poll taken by Auburn University's Center for Governmental Services 42 percent of the residents of Alabama describe themselves as "struggling to make ends meet" and 47 percent say they are financially worse off than a year ago.
Also, 59 percent see more unemployment coming during the next 12 months.
On the positive side, 55 percent believe they will be be better off financially a year from how.
