A 36-year-old woman was found strangled to death in her Shiloh, Ga., home Thursday.

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office found Gloria Ann Bray's body on the living room floor of her Chestnut Grove Road home around 6 p.m. Talbot County Coroner Clinton Cosby pronounced the woman dead about an hour later.

Bray's body was sent to Atlanta Friday for an autopsy, which determined the cause was death by strangulation, Cosby said.

Officials are investigating the death as a homicide.
