The Columbus Cottonmouths cut forwards Jacob Cline, Josh Coyle and Brandon Heck, the team announced Monday. This made room for enforcer Dan Leslie, who returns to the Snakes for his third season.

Leslie started the 2009-10 season in training camp with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. He was released from their camp last week and re-joined the Snakes on Sunday.

Leslie came to Columbus as a rookie in 2007 and over the last two seasons, has led the league in both penalty minutes and major penalties. In 107 total games with the Snakes, Leslie has compiled 452 penalty minutes and 60 fighting majors.

The Snakes, who open the season Friday, have 20 players on their roster. They must trim that down to 18 by Friday.
