Opelika police are investigating a traffic accident that killed one person and sent two others to the hospital Wednesday evening.
According to a news release, the collision occurred just after 5 p.m. CST, on Marvyn Parkway just south of Crawford Road. The crash involved three vehicles: a late 90s model Chevrolet pick-up truck, a 2007 Chevrolet pick-up truck and a 1998 Kia.
The Kia was occupied by two individuals. The passenger of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:35 p.m. by Lee County Deputy Coroner Charlotte Patterson.
