Veterans, active-duty personnel can eat free at Applebee's today

Applebee's is offering a free meal to all military veterans and active-duty service members today, Veterans Day, as a way to say 'Thank you' to whose who have served or are currently serving the country.

Participants will have six entrees to choose from on the menu and guests will be asked to show one or more of the following as proof of service:

U.S. Uniform Services identification card

U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card

Current leave and earnings statement

Veterans organization card

A photograph in uniform

Service members may also wear their uniforms as proof of military service.

Veterans Day is Wed., Nov. 11.
