Melissa Rycroft, “The Bachelor” bachelorette and “Dancing with the Stars” eighth season runner-up, is scheduled to perform Tuesday on the “Dancing with the Stars” semifinals results show.
Rycroft posted Sunday to her Twitter account that she'll perform Tuesday with her eighth-season professional partner Tony Dovolani.
“Practice with Tony - we're baaaaacckkk!!” she posted. “One practice and already sore and bruised up.”
Rycroft got engaged to boyfriend Ty Strickland in June -- less than eight months after she got engaged to Jason Mesnick during the taping of 13 season final rose ceremony last November.
Mesnick changed his mind, dumping Rycroft in favor of runner-up Molly Malaney during a January taping of the season's “After the Final Rose” special. Mesnick and Malaney also recently got engaged.
Rycroft -- stricken with swine flu last month -- and Strickland are currently slated to wed December 12.
Rycroft was a last-minute "Dancing with the Stars" replacement last spring for season 8. She coupled popularity with great technique and danced her way to the finals.
Joanna Krupa, Mya, Kelly Osbourne and Donnie Osmond are the semi-finalists competing this tonight at 8.
The new season of 'The Bachelor" premieres January 4th on ABC.
Here is a recap of last week's action:
Singer Aaron Carter and partner Karina Smirnoff were eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" on Tuesday's results show. The couple tied for the lowest judges' points with only 50 points for their foxtrot and 1990's samba on Monday's show.
"I've grown so much," Aaron said as he turned to address the judges. "Thank you for helping me grow on this show."
Head judge Len Goodman congratulated Aaron on his performances. "I think you're an inspiration to all young people that anything is possible. And If you were my son, I would be so proud of you. But more important, you be proud of yourself because you've been great."
Aaron and Karina appeared to be crying as they danced their final dance together on the show.
Continuing on next week's semifinal round of competition are singer Kelly Osbourne with partner Louis Van Amstel, model Joanna Krupa with partner Derek Hough, singer Mya with partner Dmitry Chaplin and singer Donny Osmond with partner Kym Johnson.
Mya and Dmitry were just one point shy of receiving a perfect 60 points for their two dances. All three judges gave them 10 points for their exciting 1970's samba set to "Bad Girl." The couple received 10s from Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli for their quickstep, but Carrie Ann Inaba gave them a 9.
Joanna and Derek received the second highest judges' score with a total of 52 points for their futuristic paso doble and quickstep. Their paso doble, which earned 29 out of 30 points, was chosen by Len Goodman as the repeat dance of the week, and the couple performed it at the beginning of the results show.
Kelly and Louis received a total of 51 judges' points for their 1960's jive and their foxtrot on Monday's show. Donny and Kym had 50 judges' points for their Viennese Waltz and 1980's paso doble.
