Nov. 11: The prosecution calls three witnesses linked to Torrance Hill’s drug organization, including Choici Lawrence, Shawn Bunkley and Latea Davis, Hill’s former girlfriend.
Nov. 12: Torrance Hill testifies that he paid Shelnutt more than $250,000 to represent him.
Nov. 13: After prosecutors call their last witness, Judge Clay Land dismisses a witness tampering count against Shelnutt and says he has “concerns” about the government’s case.
Nov. 15: Judge Land dismisses three more counts against Shelnutt, and the defense rests after about five hours of presenting its case.
Nov. 16: Lawyers on both sides present their closing arguments, and Land gives the case to the jury.
Nov. 17: The jury delivers its verdict, finding Shelnutt not guilty on all 36 of the remaining counts.
