Shots fired during liquor store hold-up in Columbus

Two gunmen fired shots inside a Columbus liquor store during a robbery Friday.

No one was injured. The two men got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police were called around 8:30 p.m. to 30th Avenue Package Store at 3001 Victory Drive. Witnesses told police two armed men had entered the business while several employees and at least one customer were there.

“They shot a cooler to demonstrate they weren’t playing,” said Police Lt. Steve Cox.

The two fled on foot. One wore a black hoodie, while the other had on a white thermal shirt.
