Richard Cox, 47, of LaGrange, Ga. has been arrested and charged with criminal attempt rape.
He was arrested by police in LaGrange on Sunday.
Police got the call at approximately 1:15 Sunday morning.
They responded to a rape in progress.
The woman told police that Cox had attempted to force his way on top of her with the intent to have sex.
