Krumper Russell Ferguson, 20, was named the season six winner of "So You Think You Can Dance" on Wednesday night's finale. He received the title after being injured during the show.
"This means everything to me," Ferguson said after winning the reality TV competition on Fox. He hails from Boston.
Contemporary dancer Jakob Karr placed second.
Kathryn McCormick placed third, Ellenore Scott placed fourth, Ashleigh Di Lello placed fifth and her husband Ryan Di Lello placed sixth.
Winner Ferguson was injured in a hip-hop number early in Wednesday's show. He came on stage supported by one of the other dancers and told the audience he hurt his leg.
Ferguson sat on a stool during the early eliminations. He did not dance in the "best of" routines throughout the show. Producers aired taped versions of his performances due to the injury.
Still, Ferguson took off his shirt and moved around the stage after winning.
Wednesday's show also featured a performance by "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert, who opted for a demeanor tamer than his racy American Music Awards performance. He sang "Whataya Want From Me" while wearing a suit, eyeliner and nail polish.

True to form, Lambert generated conversation almost immediately after his performance. He was quickly one of the top trending topics on Twitter.
The show also included performances by Leona Lewis, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Lopez.
