Texas pilot Jake Pavelka met 25 single ladies on Monday's season debut of ABC's "The Bachelor: On the wings of Love." He eliminated 10 during the first episode. The 31-year-old Dallas resident said he's confident that one of the remaining 15 women will become his wife.

One woman who certainly will not marry Jake is the yet-to-be-identified bachelorette who was caught having an affair with a producer of the show during the filming of this season. Host Chris Harrison confirmed the rumors in interviews before the show aired. He said Jake was informed of the scandal during the filming and the bachelorette was eliminated from the show. The producer has been fired. Though ABC officials have yet to release the bachelorette's name, it's safe to assume she's one of the 15 women who received a rose to continue on the show after the first episode.

Jake competed on the summer season of "The Bachelorette" with Jillian Harris. When he was eliminated from the show, he said "Nice guys finish last... The story of my life."

Has he changed his philosophy? A bit. "Nice guys just have to wait a little bit longer sometimes," he said in the opening scene of "The Bachelor."

How seriously is he taking the show? "I'm not going to be single for much longer," Jake promised before he was introduced to the bachelorettes.

What are Jake's top three priorities? God. Family. Friends.

Last season's bachelorette Jillian Harris and her pick Ed Swiderski showed up to help Jake determine who to eliminate. They thought Jake should send Michelle home because they "didn't get a good vibe from her." Jake ignored their input.

Here are the ladies who received roses and will appear on next week's show:

Tenley: 25, Oregon. She's played the role of fairy princess on stage. Now she wants a happy ending of her own. She got the first kiss and the first-impression rose for opening up so much. They only thing she didn't tell Jake about was her previous relationship. She's divorced.

Ella: 29, a hairstylist from Tennessee. She has a son, Ethan, and she thinks Jake is the missing piece to her family.

Elizabeth: 29, a nanny from Nebraska. She brought a football to test Jake's throwing ability. The prop spurred an impromptu football game — Blondes vs. Brunettes. No winner was declared.

Ali: age 25, an account manager from Massachusetts. She had a rough night. Her voice kept failing because she was feeling ill, and she fell and ripped her dress when Jake came to get her for a one-on-one conversation. Oh, and she's afraid to fly.

Vienna: 23, Florida. This daddy's girl enjoys dressing up her dog. She also enjoys touching Jake, especially his abs. A lot.

Christina: 25. Most of her friends are guys, but she planned to make friends on the show by complimenting the other women. She brought jelly beans and encouraged the girls to take a pack... on their way home from the show. Not so complimentary.

Gia: 26, a swimsuit model from New York. She's unlucky in love and has had only three boyfriends.

Ashley: 29, a teacher from Pittsburgh. She changed into a flight attendant's outfit to impress Jake. She said she dresses well on her teacher's salary because her mom loves buying her clothes. Jake said he was impressed with the outfit switch.

Rozlyn: 28, Richmond, Va. This model thinks pilots are sexy and girls are catty.

Jesse: 25, Canada. Her opening comment to Jake? "Do you have a registry for these guns?"

Corrie: 23, Kissimmee, Florida. She's a wardrobe consultant who said she and Jake have the same traditional values.

Valisha: 32. This "homemaker" who's originally from Texas brought Jake soil from their homeland.

Ashleigh: 25, Maryland. She slipped (literally) right into Jake's arms when they met.

Kathryn: age 25, a flight attendant from Kentucky. She gave Jake the fake engagement ring that she wears to work. She hopes to replace it with the real thing at the end of the show.

Michelle: 25, California. This office manager wants to be Jake's co-pilot. She was feeling very emotional and indicated that she was going to have a meltdown if she didn't get the first impression rose. She didn't get it. She very nearly had a breakdown.

Leaving the show on the first week:

Alexa: 25, Ohio. She's an adrenaline junkie who wore gloves to meet Jake. She told him he could ride her Harley if she could drive his plane. Not happening.

Elizabeth: 29, Washington D.C. She said the greatest loves of her life have all been pilots.

Channy: 29, California. She told Jake something in her native Cambodian. Translation? "You can land your plane on my landing strip any time." Jake's response? "Oh." Translation? "No."

Kimberly: 24, an NBA dancer from Oklahoma. She suggested they put their football wars aside. To show how serious she was, she said "Hook 'em 'horns."

Emily: 21, Ohio. She's a fitness model.

Tianna: 31. The Canadian medical technician said she told her girlfriends that she was going to marry Jake when he stepped out of the limo on last season's "The Bachelorette."

Caitlyn: age 24. She's a model from Illinois.

Kirsten, 25, Colorado. She wanted to slap Jillian when she let Jake go last season.

Stephanie: 24, a dance teacher from Illinios. She wanted Jake to save her the first dance of the night. He did.

Shelia: 25, a pilot from California. She gave her aviation sunglasses to Jake since they're both pilots.
