Renting the latest video game titles on Fort Benning is now as easy as pressing a button, thanks to the installation of a new video game rental kiosk at the shopping mall on post.

GameFly — a video game delivery service — in November installed their G-Box kiosk in the Post Exchange plaza for those looking to try the latest games without having to spend about $60 or more to purchase a title.

G-Box is stocked with top releases for the XBOX 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and Wii. In addition, the kiosk offers several first and third-person shooter titles — a favorite video game genre among the military, the company said.

How it works is customers pick a game with the touch screen, swipe a credit card and get their chosen title. All games can be rented for $2.49 a day, except for Wii games that go for $1.99 a day. There are no due dates, late fees or contracts.

GameFly said through its marketing company, Bender/Helper Impact Inc., the G-Box has so far exceeded expectations on Fort Benning. The company has received interest from other Army & Airforce Exchange Service institutions across the U.S.
