When the "American Idol" crew came to Orlando, they found talent that was more exciting than Chicago auditions -- but still not as thrilling as "Pants on the Ground."

Wednesday's one-hour episode of "Idol" featured Orlando auditions with guest judge Kristin Chenoweth. She stayed for one of the two days.

Among the Hollywood-bound singers: standout Matt Lawrence, who spent years locked up after robbing a bank with a BB gun as a teen.

The night also included some noteworthy rejects, namely Jarrod Norrell, of Marietta, Ga. He botched a rendition of "Amazing Grace" and was ultimately escorted out of the judging room by security guards and then handcuffed.

Of the 10,000 hopefuls who auditioned in Orlando, 31 got golden tickets for Hollywood.

We saw 11 of those singers, including:

Seth Rollins, a father with an autistic son

Jermaine Purifory, auditioning for "Idol" for the second time

Shelby Dressel, born with a condition that paralyzed half of her face

Jay Stone, a beatboxer who narrowly made the Hollywood cut

Janell Wheeler, rumored to have dated football player Tim Tebow

Brittany Starr James

Kasi Bedford

Cornelius Edwards, who split his pants while dancing during the audition. He also said he has friends who dance for money.

Bernadette and Amanda DeSimone, sisters from New Jersey
