As usual, celebrities displayed the very best - and the absolute worst - at this year's Grammy awards. See our picks for the best and worst dressed and tell us your thoughts in the comments section.
Sonya Sorich's picks:
BEST DRESSED
Lady Gaga: Does "best" equal "eclectic" at the Grammys? It sure does! I loved Lady Gaga's Armani getup, a silver/purple-ish dress driven by orbits, sparkles and platform heels.
Pink: Her long gray dress fit her body well, and complemented her current hair color (blonde).
Taylor Swift: Her floor-length navy blue gown was a nice departure from her signature short gold glittery dresses. But don't worry, the sparkles were still intact at the Grammys.
WORST DRESSED
Katy Perry: The sheer flesh-colored gown, embellished with gold flowers, looked like something out of "Showgirls."
Ciara: Lace? Rhinestones? The accents don't seem too bad alone, but Ciara's getup combined every embellishment possible...in black. The result? Something that wouldn't even look cool at a goth convention.
Rihanna: Her white Elie Saab floor-length gown wasn't awful. But between the puffy shoulders and chiffon/feather accents, there was just too much happening on top.
Dawn Minty's picks:
BEST DRESSED
Well, I agree that Lady Gaga's getup was, um, eclectic, but I can't give her a best-dressed nod because it was too goofy. And what was she was wearing on her head at the end of the show? Weird. Pink did look surprisingly sophisticated, though.
Heidi Klum: The shortness of the dress combined with the plunging neckline could have looked trashy, but the long sleeves and beading added a touch of glamour.
Lea Michele: The black dress was anything but basic with its short, feathery skirt and one-strap shoulder. It was perfect for a high school Glee clubber who got an invite to the Grammys.
Carrie Underwood: The long, flowing white dress was elegant and the silver straps were fun.
Keri Hilson: The nude-colored, mermaid-style gown was sexy and classy.
WORST DRESSED
I agree that Ciara's look was scary, but I liked Rihanna's gown. There was a lot going on, but it's the Grammys!
Imogen Heap: I'm not sure what was around her neck, but it wasn't good.
Snooki: Too short. Too tight. Too purple. And why was she there?
Russell Brand: No one wants to see a pale white chest covered in matted sweaty hair. Well, maybe Katy Perry does. But no one else. Gross.
Britney Spears: We're all glad to see you wearing underwear these days, but they're called underwear for a reason. They're supposed to be worn under something else. Try harder.
Katie Holland's picks:
BEST
The ladies were pretty hot last night with short dresses and bright colors. I particularly liked Miley Cyrus' look, a long-sleeved teal mini dress by Max Azria with some funky necklaces and gladiator sandals. It was cute, trendy and age appropriate.
Fergie's Emilio Pucci strapless mini was a hot look - short, tight and bright blue. The silver design looked like a snake wrapping around the dress - loved it.
Mary J. Blige also opted for a bight color - a fushcia Gucci gown. The color was great on her, the fit was perfect and Mary looked hot!
I also have to shout out to Colbie Caillat, who rocked a gold sparkley number with a slit up to there, and Kristin Bell, in a long black Etro with bronze leather trim.
WORST
Sorry, Jennifer Hudson, but that structured black Victoria Beckham dress was structured in all the wrong places for you.
Sheryl Crow had the opposite problem as J-Hud - there was absolutely no structure to her long black Bottega Veneta. The skinny singer got lost in all that fabric!
I also didn't particularly care for Ashanti's gold gown. From about mid-thigh up, it was super cute. But that extra fabric that was attached and trailed behind her ruined the whole thing.
Sandra Okamoto's picks:
BEST
Fergie, in a short, strapless blue number with a kind of silver embellishment snaking down the front look fabu. I just wish she'd go blonde again.
Mya had the best accessory of the night -- Usher. And she looked good in a silver, beaded dress.
Nicole Kidman maybe had the second best accessory of the night -- Keith Urban. She was in a gorgeous, black Prada gown with a high neck and cut-out shoulders. And her hair is red and looked beautiful.
Taylor Swift looked age appropriate in a glittery, blue Kaufman Franco gown.
WORST
When you saw Lady Gaga sitting in the audience, all you could see is that very tall headpiece. What you couldn't see was the back of the very short dress that didn't have a bottom. There was a U-shaped cut-out and showed her bare (though stocking-covered) butt.
Rihanna's dress was a nightmare. It was kind of a throw-back to "Dynasty" with a shoulder treatment and jodphur type things at her hips. No good.
Beyonce's dress was too tight, too short and too low-cut.
Her former Destiny's Child singing mate, Michelle Williams, wore this black satin jumpsuit with white heels. Yuck.
And then there was Jennifer Lopez. She wore this silver, strapless, very short dress, which would probably be OK by itself. But there was this white lace curtain-like thing that draped the left side of her body.
Alan Riquelmy's picks:
BEST
Miley Cyrus: Move over Disney, it's time for something slinkier. Ms. Cyrus obviously knows what The Rock is cooking, and she's it. Long hair, tight blue dress and shoes that would fit in with the movie "Blade Runner" make for a perfect combo. We'll take seconds, please.
Snooki: Some people writing in this space obviously have no sense of fashion. Snooki (or "Snooks" to those who really know her) rocked the mic with a paint-on dress, killer heels and a fake tan that would put a Real Housewife of Orange County to shame. I'm moving to New Jersey in hopes of being on the next "Jersey Shore."
Taylor Swift: I don't care about what all the haters say. Taylor deserves album of the year, she deserves to get the quarterback as her prom date and she deserves an A+ when it comes to dress sense. Taylor knows the secret to great fashion: shoulder blades. Show them off, ladies. It's hot.
WORST
Katy Perry: I've seen roadkill that looks better than this dress. What is that supposed to be? A snakeskin? What are you now, a walking, talking, whining wannabe Louis Vuitton accessory? Get a stylist and a better matchmaker while you're at it. British men are so passe.
Carrie Underwood: Oh, I get it, you're supposed to resemble a bride in that awful excuse for a dress. Here's a hint - in your case, it's not just don't wear white after Labor Day, it's don't wear white - ever. I need some soap to wash out my eyes after seeing that dress, stat.
Lady Gaga: I've saved the worst for worst. This is the sorriest excuse for clothing I've ever seen. Oh, I know, I've got an idea! Let's glue some hoola hoops to some gauze, dip it in Easter Egg dye and paint your face like a dead geisha. While you're at it, make your hair resemble week-old cotton candy. Voila! Instant awful!
Kara Edgerson's picks:
BEST DRESSED
Beyonce: The Stephane Rolland dress is by far my best look of the night. At first I thought it was too much with all the shapes; I sort of felt like I was in Math class all over again. But with a closer look at the specs of sparkly strands put into her hair, the jewels and the shoes, I think she looked stunning. And who else can rock a dress that zips in the front on a red carpet -- only the Artist of the Decade.
Usher: Loved the 3-piece suit, though he could have worn a better shirt under it.
Fergie: The dress fit her perfectly and the colors were beautiful. Her and Josh Duhamel were my best dressed couple.
Rhianna: Still not completely in love with the Elie Saab dress. But it's definitely growing on me, maybe because Saab is one of my favorite designers. If I can love couture dresses with feather detail at the bottom, why can't feathers at the top grow on me.
Keri Hilson: She had a beautiful, classic look with her Dolce and Gabbana dress.
Julez Knowles: Beyonce's 5-year-old nephew definitely nabbed a lot of oooooos and awwwwws after getting on stage with Jay-Z and Rihanna. Even Jay-z was "jealous" of his "super fresh tuxedo" and Nike Dunks.
Lady Gaga: One word: Fierce.
WORST DRESSED
Ciara: I think she forgot to put her dress on. It looked like something that was suppose to go UNDER her gown. But maybe she was trying to make up for showing up late to Givency's fashion show last week by doning his fashions from head to toe.
Quentin Tarantino: That loud shirt hurt my eyes.
Miley Cyrus: I thought she was 17 years old. So why did she rock a skimpy, 30-year-old woman's dress?
