So what have we learned?
The hydrogen bomb did explode. The Oceanic flight made it back to Los Angeles.
But back at the island, Juliet dies. So does Sayid.
Locke is dead, too. But something has cloned him. And he's the smoke monster?
There's another community on the island, led by a Japaese man.
Have any questions been answered?
Well, we know that Locke or his clone is the smoke monster.
ABC's "Nightline" will have a piece about "Lost" with producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
***
At the temple: Hurley says goodbye to Sayid. Kate cleans up Sawyer's head after he was clubbed. Sawyer says he's not going to kill Jack. He's going to make him suffer like everyone else.
Back at the airport, Jack is trying to find his father's coffin. Locke is waiting for his lost luggage. Jack offers a free consultation for Locke, who says his condition is irreversible.
The Others, led by richard, are on the beach and are looking at the flare. Locke punches Richard and picks him up and walks toward the jungle.
Oh. My. God. Sayid just woke up!
***
Sayid is at the airport, looking for his bags, and Kate's trying to leave without being caught. She hops into a cab where Claire is waiting for traffic to move. She pulls the gun she took off the marshal and makes the cabbie drive off.
Jack, Kate, Hurley and Jin are joined by Miles and Sawyer. The Japanese leader wants to talk to Hurley. He wanted to know what Jacob told him.
When Hurley tells him that Jacob is dead, they start to mobilize, sending flares up. He's told that the reinforcements are not to keep them there, but to keep "him" out.
Locke maybe?
But who is Locke? So who took over his body? Or clone of his body?
Whatever this Locke is, he wants to go home. Home?
***
At the airport, Jin and Sun have problems at customs. They take Jin away and Sun goes to a waiting room.
Inside the temple, there's a bubbling spring. Kind of lke a giant Jacuzzi. The Japanese leader cuts his hand and dips it in the water.
There are risks if they put Sayid in the water. Risks?
Sayid struggles under water, but he stops. Has he drowned?
He's died.
That must have been the risk. Jack tries CPR to no avail.
***
At the airport, a handcuffed Kate is trying to get free. She knocks out the marshal and takes the elevator with Sawyer.
Back on the island, Miles and Sawyer finish burying Juliet.
Sawyer makes Miles who can hear what dead people say, tell him what Juliet was about to say. Something about a word?
A Japanese guy is in charge of the people who took Jack, Kate, Jin and Hurley. He orders his men to shoot them. Then Hurley blurts out that Jacob sent them. He wants proof. So Hurley said Jacob gave him the guitar case that he's been carrying.
Inside is the anhk symbol which the Japanese leader breaks to find a piece of paper rolled up. He demands their names, which they all tell him. His translator said if Sayid dies, they're all in trouble.

Jack, Kate, Jin and Hurley are taking Sayid to the temple.
Sawyer stays behind to bury Juliet. Miles helps him.
Jack is paged at the airport. He's bringing his father's body back for the funeral, but the airplane's rep tells him he doesn't know where the coffin is.
They're in the temple, but it's not the way we saw it last.
Kate hears voices and then she disappears.
Where's Hurley?
Now, who are these people who have capture our intrepid little gang?
***
Sawyer has freed Juliet. She dies after saying she has something to tell him.
Charlie is led away handcuffed.
The plane is landing in Los Angeles.
Charlie's doing the perp walk through the airplane. So is Kate. All of our favorite people are deplaning and Locke is back in his wheelchair.
Does this mean everything's back to normal?
Of course not. The first hour is over. One more episode coming up.
***
Jack is trying to save Charlie. He's swallowed a little bag of some sort of drug.
Back at the hatch, they're trying to move a beam so they can get down to where Juliet fell. Sawyer seems mad with grief.
OK. Why wasn't Juliet vaporized during the hydrogen bomb blast? Silly question?
In the temple, Locke can deflect bullets! And here comes the black smoke thing. Where is Locke?
Uh, oh! Locke is the murderous smoke!
***
They're (Jack, Sawyer, Jin, Miles) digging at the ruined hatch, trying to get to Juliet.
Oh, Hurley is talking to Jacob, who admits he was killed an hour ago. Jacob tells Hurley to take Sayid to the temple. So Sayid is not dead.
Sawyer says if Juliet dies, he'll kill Jack.
Back on the plane, Sayid breaks open the bathroom door to find Charlie unresponsive. Probably a drug overdose. He's the rock star.
***
Jin and Sun are on the plane, with Sun watching Rose and Bernard.
Oh, there's Ian Somerhalder, who played Boone, one of the first survivors who died. He's now on "The Vampire Diaries."
Locke and Linus are in Jacob's temple. Richard's people are outside the temple.
So there's the dead Locke and the very much alive Locke.
Huh?
***
Kate's up in huge tree after the explosion and she's deafened from the blast.
Where is everyone else?
Oh, they're unconscious and at the hatch.
Now they're back on the plane.
It's just as confusing as ever.
Juliet, who detonated the bomb, appears to be alive. But Sayid, who was shot, has died.
Wait! Didn't Jacob die? He's talking to Hugo/Hurley.
***
OK! It's begun. The sixth and final season of "Lost" is on!
Apparently, the bomb went off and the plane didn't land.
But the island has become something like Atlantis. It's sunk underwater.

A lot, but there are plenty more characters, who come in and out of these main characters' lives.
The island time travels, heals and resurrects people and can hide entire communities from each other. In the case of Richard,
Then there's the mysterious Dharma Initiative, which did a bunch of strange experiments. There are polar bears on a tropical island. And the bizarre black cloud that seems to eat people.
Lots and lots of people want questions answered. Questions that have been piling up since the show began.
The producers, Damon Lindelof and Carleton Cuse, say all our questions will be answered by the time this season ends.
