Phenix City Walmart worker wins $2.5 million in lottery

"When you see that amount, you have to look a couple of times," said John C. Tull Sr. recalling the day he won $2.5 million in the Georgia Lottery.

Tull, 53, won the amount at Villa Nova Beverages in Columbus and was at a check presentation Thursday..

He won the money on Jan. 27 playing the Georgia Lottery Game Millionaire Jumbo Bucks.

"I come in about every other day and play something," said Tull who has worked at Walmart for the past 20 years. "I've never won more than $600."

The widowed father of two plans to pay off his mortgage, buy a new truck and give a love offering to his church.
