AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn added to its 2011 class when it got a commitment from offensive lineman Spencer Region of Cullman High in Somerville, Ala., according to the Tigers’ three recruiting Web sites.
The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Region planned to commit to Alabama, his favorite school since childhood, but he changed his mind. He also had offers from Florida State and Ole Miss, among others.
Region is Auburn’s second commitment for 2011, joining junior college defensive back Izauea Lanier.
