Columbus weather: Rain today, highs in the low 50s

Expect showers today, mainly before 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The high this afternoon should hit 51 degrees and winds could gust as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible. Tonight expect clouds during the early evening and a low around 30. Wind gusts could get as high as 30 mph.

Thursday expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 51 and calmer winds then in previous days. Gusts could get as high as 15 mph. There's a slight chance of rain Thursday night. Expect mostly cloudy skies, with a low around 34. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
