The Cunningham Sales Institute at Columbus State University will kick off this week its Distinguished Speaker Series.

The series, which includes four luncheon events, focuses on business growth and customer base development topics. This year, the series will feature four leaders from four major industries: education, banking, real estate and public service.

Dr. Timothy Mescon, president of CSU, will speak at the first event Friday. The three other speakers will appear on the following days:

May 14 — Steve Melton, regional chief executive officer of Synovus and CEO of CB&T

August 13 — Jack Key, partner at Coldwell Banker, Kennon, Parker, Duncan & Key Realty

November 12 — George Israel, president and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce

It’s $39 for Friday’s luncheon. The cost for all four events is $129.
