Local preservationists host Feb. 22 'Livable Communities through Land Conservation' lunch

Three local preservation groups have lined up five experts on environmental advocacy for a Feb. 22 lunch program on land conservation.

"Livable Communities through Land Conservation" will be noon-1:30 p.m. in the CB&T meeting room at 1144 Broadway in downtown Columbus. The lunch costs $10 each or $75 for a table of eight.

Organizers are the Coalition for Sound Growth, Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission and Trees Columbus.

On the panel of land conservationists whose remarks will be moderated by John Turner are the Chattahoochee Valley Land Trust's Justin Park, The Conservation Fund's Rex Boner, the Georgia Conservancy's Will Wingate, The Nature Conservancy's Wade Harrison and The Trust for Public Land's Richard Tucker.
