Cop Out

A veteran police detective (Bruce Willis) becomes a crime victim himself when a valuable baseball card is stolen from his collection. He planned to use the baseball card to pay for his daughter’s wedding, so he’s determined to get it back. He recruits an unorthodox partner (Tracy Morgan) to help him on his quest. Rated R for pervasive language including sexual references, violence and brief sexuality.

The Crazies

A toxic spill besets a small town and the population isn’t happy about it. In fact, they are hopping mad, a point they drive home in an orgy of madness and destruction. Sheriff David Dutton (Timothy Olyphant) attempts to get to the bottom of what is besetting his community while trying to keep his town from completely falling apart. Looks like a zombie movie without the zombies, make of that what you will. Rated R for bloody violence and language.

Alice In Wonderland

This adaptation is kind of a sequel to the first two books Lewis Carroll wrote, an extension is the word being often used in reference to Tim Burton’s version of Lewis Carroll’s world. Helena Bonham Carter is the Red Queen. Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter. Relative newcomer Mia Wasikowska plays Alice. The world is visualized with a combination of live action and computer generated special effects and frankly looks extraordinary. Rated PG for fantasy action and violence.
