Curly: Joe Lehman is a member of Actors Equity. Roles include “Christmas My Way,” “Cabaret,” “What Every Woman Knows” and “Shady Business.” He has done several tours with the internationally known Classical Kids Live! He is based in Chicago, where this spring he will play a frustrated actor turned serial killer in “No Way to Treat a Lady.” His Chicago work includes roles at Drury Lane Oakbrook, Marriott Lincolnshire, Apple Tree Theatre, First Folio, Light Opera Works and Oak Park Shakespeare. Regional works includes shows with the Madison Repertory Theatre, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, Human Race Theatre, Theatre at the Center and Stage One. He is the artistic director and a founder of Inconceivable Theatre.
Will Parker: Greg Pragel is from Buffalo, N.Y., where he graduated from Niagara University. He has performed with such regional houses as Mill Mountain Theatre, the Renaissance Center, Tibbits Opera House, Prather Entertainment Group, Great Plains Theatre and Sesame Street Live. He was also resident company member and the fight choreographer of Playhouse on the Square. Some of his favorite roles include “The Full Monty,” “Seussical,” “Scapin,” “Greater Tuna” and “A Tuna Christmas,” “bash,” “Smoke on the Mountain” and “Hair.” He is the fight choreographer for “Oklahoma!”
Jud: Keith McCoy made his Springer Opera House debut last spring as Jim in “Big River.” He has performed in summer stock, theme park productions, national tours and regional theater across America. Favorite credits include “The Full Monty,” “Aladdin” and “Caroline or Change.” He says, “To be gainfully employed in an area of work you love is truly a blessing.”
Laurey: Laurie Sutton is making her Springer debut. She has recently performed in “Oklahoma!,” “The Fantasticks,” “Dames at Sea,” “The Pajama Game,” “Annie,” “Godspell” and “The Music Man.” She graduated with a BFA in musical theater from Wichita State University and lives in New York City.
Ado Annie: Alee Morrison played Rusty in “Footloose” and Tiger Lily/Liza in “Peter Pan.” She appeared in Marymount Manhattan’s Off-Broadway production of “Hair.” At Brookstone School, she appeared in “Grease” and “West Side Story.” She has her bachelor’s degree in communication arts and photography from Marymount Manhattan College. She credits the African drum circle in Central Park with teaching her to let go completely and just dance.
Aunt Eller: Kristen Metcalfe has appeared at the Springer in “Why, Baby, Why: The Music of George Jones and Tammy Wynette,” “Crimes of the Heart” and “A Christmas Carol.” She served as stage manager for “Amazing Grace,” assistant stage manager for “The Member of the Wedding” and house manager for “Inherit the Wind,” “Afternoon of the Elves,” “The Big Friendly Giant” and “Winnie the Pooh.” She has also been a Springer Theater Academy for the past six years and is the Springer’s box office associate.
Ali Hakim: Ben Reed appeared in “Winnie the Pooh,” “The Father of the Bride” and “Ramona Quimby” at the Springer. He appeared in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “The Taming of the Shrew,” “Holiday Memories,” The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “Macbeth” at Rose of Athens Theatre, “Troilus and Cressida” at the New Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern, “Triumph of the Underdog!” at the New York Fringe Festival, “The Little Dog Laughed” at Theatre in the Square in Marietta and “Dial ‘M’ for Murder” at Highlands Playhouse in North Carolina.
Andrew Carnes: Brian Pecci has performed in more than 100 productions in theaters across the country. He first appeared on the Springer stage 10 years ago as Sonny in “Grease.” Other Springer favorites include “Greetings,” “Phantom,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” “The Foreigner” and “Big River.” Other notable stage appearances include “Annie,” “The Music Man,” “Lil Abner,” “Kiss Me Kate” and “Not Now Darling.”
Dream Curly: Shane Hall last appeared as Bickle the super nerd in “Footloose.” His national tours include “Cats,” “Chicago,” Beauty and the Beast” and “White Christmas.” He is the owner and artistic director of Prodigy Dance Center and this summer will be teaching musical theater with the Springer Theater Academy. He plays plays Slim and in the ensemble.
Ike: James Rashaad Turner performed in “Footloose,” “Peter Pan” and “Inherit the Wind” at the Springer. He has appeared in “The King and I,” “The Magic Flute,” “The Music Man,” “Sweet Betsy from Pike” and “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” with the LaGrange Lyric Theatre. With the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, he has appeared in “Cat on a Hot Tin Streetcare” and “Desperate Housekeepers.” He is also in the ensemble.
Tom: Brad Daniels played the lawyer Davenport in “Inherit the Wind.” He has appeared at the Springer in “Footloose,” “Big River,” “Carousel,” “Peter Pan,” “A Christmas Carol” and “Why, Baby, Why: The Music of George Jones and Tammy Wynette. He was a dancer in “The Lost Colony, the first and longest-running historical outdoor drama. He graduated from the University of Florida with a BFA in musical theater performance. He is also in the ensemble.
Joe: Sam Beman has appeared at the Springer in “The Member of the Wedding,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Seussical,” “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “Ragtime,” “Macbeth,” “Footloose” and “Inherit the Wind.” He played a merchant in “The Comedy of Errors” for Chattahoochee Shakespeare Co. He has also trained with Whole World Improv Theatre in Atlanta. He is also in the ensemble.
Cord Elam: Eddie Senior appeared in last spring’s production of “Big River.” He has also appeared at the Springer in “Ragtime,” “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” and “Footloose.” At the Chattahoochee Shakespeare Co., he was in “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Cannibal: The Musical.” At the Liberty Theatre, he was in “Dreamgirls.” He graduated with a master’s degree in psychology from Argosy University. He is also in the ensemble.
Mike: Greg Bourke has been in “Peter Pan,” “A Christmas Carol,” “Carousel,” “The Big Friendly Giant” and “Footloose” at the Springer. He is a junior at Harris County High School, where he was in “Beauty and the Beast,” “Grease” and “Aladdin.” He was also named best actor for the 4-A Region One-Act Competition in “Oh Dad, Poor Dad,” and was named Most Outstanding student in the Springer Theater Academy in 2008. He is also in the ensemble.
Skidmore: Jimmy Motos has appeared in three different Springer productions of “Guys and Dolls.” Other Springer credits include “Mame,” “Oklahoma!,” “Sweeney Todd,” “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” “Camelot,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Phantom,” “Carousel” and “Inherit the Wind.” He is retired from the Muscogee County School District, where he was a National Distinguished Principal. He is the Springer’s community outreach director.
Fred: Raymond Campbell was in the Springer’s Studio II production of “Charm School” last season. He has appeared in Mainstage productions of “Footloose,” “Carousel,” “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Big River,” “Peter Pan,” “The Father of the Bride” and “Inherit the Wind.” A Springer favorite for years, some of his more recent roles were in “The King and I,” “Guys and Dolls,” “A Christmas Carol,” “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” and “Ragtime.”
Portia: Michele Rogers, who is also the show’s choreographer, choreographed “Footloose” in the fall. She performed in and choreographed “The King and I” and “A Christmas Carol.” She played Patterson in the Springer’s world premiere of “Crazy Love.” She has performed in and choreographed many Springer shows, including “Guys and Dolls,” “Carousel,” “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” “Sophisticated Ladies,” “Cinderella,” “A Chorus Line” and “Peter Pan.”
Delores: Randi Walker made her Springer debut playing an Indian in “Peter Pan.” She appeared in “Footloose,” “Bye, Bye Birdie,” “Mickey Mouse Club” and “MGM Hits” when she was a student at Smith Station High Schoo. She is also in the ensemble.
Gertie: Becky Lee Macy was in “Footloose” and two productions of “Peter Pan” at the Springer. She graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. She has appeared in “Seussical” and “The Little Mermaid” at the Artists’ Studio in Indianapolis and “A Christmas Carol” and “Pinocchio” with the American Family Theater’s national tours. She is also in the ensemble.
Vivian: Lizzie Schaffer was in “Peter Pan,” “Footloose” and “Inherit the Wind” at the Springer. She graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with a major in vocal performance, where she appeared in “Guys and Dolls” and “Anything Goes.” She was assistant stage manager for “Red, White & Tuna.” She appeared in four episodes of the Lifetime series, “Drop Dead Diva,” and has worked on several projects for Tyler Perry. She is also in the ensemble.
Kate: Kelli Canorro has been in “Footloose,” “Big River,” “Why, Baby, Why: The Music of George Jones and Tammy Wynette,” “Guys and Dolls,” “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” “A Christmas Carol” and “My Fair Lady.” She has performed at Georgia Southern University, Walt Disney World and in Italy. She is also in the ensemble.
Ellen: Jennifer Castleberry is a senior at Harris County High School, where she appeared in “Brighton Beach Memoirs” and “The Wizard of Oz.” At Harris County Carver Middle School, she appeared in “Grease” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” At The Springer, she has been in “Annie,” “A Christmas Carol” and “The Member of the Wedding.” She has named Thespian of the Year for Troupe 88558. Her Harris County Community Theatre credits include “The Fantasticks” and “The Little Shop of Horrors.” She is also in the ensemble.
Charlotte: Stori Anderson has appeared in “the King and I,” “Crazy Love” and “A Christmas Carol” at the Springer. At Columbus State University, she was dance captain and appeared in “Pippin.” At Columbus High School, she was in “Footloose,” “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Grease.” She is a member of the Columbus Lions dance team. She is also in the ensemble.
Virginia: Whitney Lynn was lead singer for the band, Difference United’s Dream Again tour and sang before 30,000 people in India. Her theater credits include “Footloose,” “The Will Rogers Follies,” “Annie,” “Bye, Bye Birdie” and “The Wizard of Oz.” She has appeared as an extra in a Hannah Montana movie and episodes of “Championship Poker,” “Fox Five,” “American Idol” and “Law and Order.” Just recently, her original songs have been playing on local radio stations. She is also in the ensemble.
