It was Twitter that introduced little Layla Grace to the world so it seemed fitting, somehow, that the world should learn of the 2-year-old, terminally ill child's passing early Tuesday morning through the popular messaging site.
She died of stage four high risk neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is the most common cancer in infancy and frequently originates in one of the adrenal glands.
At the time of her death, Layla Grace had more than 42,000 fans on Twitter thanks to her parent's unconventional decision to allow the world to track their daughter's battle through the site.
