Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear star in this action-thriller based on the Iraq War.

This movie is less about the war and more about the friction and cross purposes between the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.

Some of the buzz coming back is describing this one as a smart, taut thriller-war story, and I must admit I’m intrigued. Rated R for violence and language.

she’s out of my league

Jay Baruchel plays Kirk, an average guy working airport security who finds himself involved with an absolutely gorgeous woman. As one might expect, he messes it up. But the story doesn’t end there. Like the casting and trailers show, the film should be whimsically funny. The movie looks like a good time for those liking comedy — and probably a good date movie, too. Rated R for language and sexual content.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

This film is an intriguing looking movie about a bright, sarcastic kid and his adventures in trying to survive growing up and all that it entails.

The movie is based on the illustrated novels of Jeff Kinney. I must admit, this movie makes me interested in reading Kinney’s books, too.

Rated PG for some rude humor and language.

At the IMAX:

Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets

Viewed by more than 40 million people, Grand Canyon is the highest-grossing, giant-screen film of all time.

Soar from the sky-high canyon rim to the twisting depths of the canyon, courtesy of a five-story-high screen. Meet the mysterious Anasazi people, who inhabited the canyon 4,000 years ago, and brave the raging Colorado River with daredevil explorer John Wesley Powell in 1869.
