MACON, Ga. - The Carver-Atlanta girls basketball team used a 12-0 third-quarter run to take the lead and held on for a 50-44 win over previously undefeated Kendrick in a GHSA Class AAA state semifinal game at the Macon Centreplex.
The Panthers led 38-27 after the run and staved off Kendrick, which got as close as four points in the fourth quarter.
Kendrick's Deshanti Lewis had a game-high 19 points.
