A new feature modeled after the Trinity Broadcasting Network begins Sunday on “Unity With Pam,” a local Christian TV show on WYBU-16. The show airs at 5:30 p.m. Sundays and 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

The Rev. Tony Banks of Tony Banks Ministry is overseeing this new segment.

The feature “Kingdom Builders” will have interviews with local ministers, musicians and lay people.

“We said we wanted to expose some of the positive stuff in the community; all we hear about is the negative,” Banks said last week.

“Kingdom Builders” will run twice monthly on “Unity.”

Sunday’s program will highlight the work of the Rev. Jamie Williams of Royal Priesthood International Ministries in Phenix City; Dee Armstrong, former anchor with WTVM-Channel 9; and the Rev. Sharon Billins of Palm Tree Ministries International and The Remnant Church on Third Avenue in Columbus.

Banks was in the United States Marine Corps until 1990. He then went on to Troy University, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration. In December 1993, Banks launched The Elite Planning Group, Inc., a financial advisory and investment firm in Columbus.

In August 2004, he started Life Changing Missionary Baptist Church with 11 others. It’s on Langdon Street. Banks is married to the former Kimberly Michelle Julkes. They have one son, Jonathan.
