With the public's help, Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is planning to get some cookies to deployed troops.

Working in partnership with the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, a "Cookies From Home" event will be held March 27 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Lowe's on Veterans Parkway in Columbus.

Cookies bought will be sent overseas.
