Two Columbus women were threatened Friday by a group of women armed with a gun and bat.

Around 2:10 p.m., police were called to an apartment at the Elizabeth Canty Homes on Cusseta Road. Two women, ages 21 and 22, told police a group of women had been harassing them that morning and had returned with weapons.

Witnesses said a dark blue Chevy Suburban parked in front of the apartment, and four women emerged — one with a bat and another with a gun. The two armed women threatened to kill the victims, and the one with the gun racked her weapon three times to show it was loaded, witnesses said.

The women fled in the SUV. Police later arrested Brandi Weaver, 23, and charged her with aggravated assault. Police are searching for a 23-year-old, who they believe had the gun.
