AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn football signee Shon Coleman, an offensive lineman from Olive Branch, Miss., received some good news in his battle against leukemia.
Coleman, who has undergone chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia at St. Jude’s Medical Research Center in Memphis, Tenn., is cancer free, according to a Friday Internet post by his mother, DeKeisha Tunstall.
“We are cancer-free!!!” Tunstall wrote. “Shon had a bone marrow aspiration today and 0% cancer cells were detected in his marrow. When he entered the hospital 15 days ago he was at 60%. Blood is clear and marrow is clear. We’re in remission on Day 15. Excellent news. God is so GOOD!!!!”
