Spc. Brushaun X. Anderson killed in Iraq

A soldier from Columbus assigned to Fort Drum in New York died Jan. 1 in Iraq.

Spc. Brushaun X. Anderson, 20, died from a non-combat related incident in Baghdad, Iraq, the U.S. Department of Defense said.

Anderson was an infantryman. He served with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (light infantry).

Anderson joined the Army in October 2007. He is survived by his mother and father, who were not identified.
