The MTV Movie Awards 2010 pre-show aired Sunday night on MTV. The show centered on "Jersey Shore" and featured 10 minutes of the show's second season. Here's what happened when we live-blogged the pre-show:
The "Jersey Shore" girls arrive in a white stretch Hummer. Clearly, not everyone's going green tonight.
The fashions are surprisingly classy. All four female cast members are dressed in sparkles. JWoww is wearing one of her own designs. Snooki is wearing a white Dolce & Gabanna gown, but she admits she shortened the length a bit for tonight's show. Of course she did. Snooki says she started getting ready at 9 a.m.
The other women are wearing Bebe and Indashio.
Time for the music video premiere of "I Like It" by Enrique Iglesias, the first song from the "Jersey Shore" soundtrack. Wow, I love how he briefly samples Lionel Richie.
Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton are in the house! Snoop's shirt says "Kobe is King." Paris Hilton is wearing a short white Blumarine dress.
As we go into commercials, we get a clip of Snooki saying she doesn't go tanning anymore because of Obama's tanning tax. "I feel like he did that intentionally for us," she says.
After break, we see Vanessa Hudgens. She's wearing white, too. Looks like that's the fashion trend so far.
Then, we get an exclusive look at "The Last Airbender." Basically there's lots of ice and ninjas. It hits theaters July 2.
Here's Katy Perry in a blue wig. She's very concerned that Snooki is not wearing her Bumpit. Now, an exclusive clip of the "California Girls" music video. It's like a XXX version of Candyland and the Smurfs. Snooki says it's every guy's fantasy.
OMG. Zac Efron takes anywhere from five minutes to 30 minutes to get ready for an awards show.
We learn some of the most talked-about people in the world are arriving. Of course, that means the guys from "Jersey Shore."
Time for a sneak peek of "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World." Michael Cera defends himself against a bunch of carbon copy guys.
Award time! Best Fight goes to Beyonce and Ali Larter for "Obsessed."
Naturally, the show wouldn't be complete without a little Nikon product placement courtesy of Alex Meraz from the "Twilight" franchise.
Finally, the highly anticipated 10-minute sneak peek of the second season of "Jersey Shore." The first few minutes are filled with the cast members talking about their amazing first season experience. Then, we learn there's snow in Jersey so the kids are road tripping to Miami. Snooki talks about her new boyfriend. She's trying to be faithful, but when she gets a bottle of SoCo "something just comes over me."
Speaking of relationships, Sammi and Ronnie have broken up. Ronnie says he wants to have fun and get creepy in Miami. Probably not the best approach. Vinnie, meanwhile, says he wants to find some quality girls. Sure.
We learn Pauly D and Angelina hooked up. The "new and improved" Angelina is joining the group in Miami.
The Situation and Pauly D have some car trouble en route to Miami and use the opportunity to set off some fireworks.
Snooki and JWoww stop at a bar in Savannah, Ga., and try fried pickles for the first time. "Eating fried pickles was a life-changing experience," Snooki says. Unfortunately, the guy who hits on them at the bar isn't amazing. Snooki calls his attempt to fist pump an "exorcism mode."
With that, the pre-show concludes and the MTV Movie Awards begins.
