Columbus weather: Heat index will make it feel like 101 outside today

Today will be much like Monday with heat index values as high at 101 degrees and a real temperature near 96, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight temperatures will dip to around 75 and there's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m.

Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny and hot, with, with a high near 97. The heat index will make it feel like 102 outside both days. Once again, temperatures will dip into the mid 70s at night and there's about a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m.
