Update: Phenix City police charge husband with Monday night homicide

Phenix City police have made an arrest in a Monday night fatal shooting

Adrian Ezell, 36, was charged with murder in the death of his 32-year-old wife Felisha Renay Ezell shortly after 8 p.m., said Capt. Frank Ivey.

"She was involved in a domestic with her husband," said Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. "She received multiple gunshot wounds."

Sumbry added that the woman was shot in her back at her 3 Jason Drive, Phenix City, home.

Adrian Ezell called police. He was arrested at the scene, Ivey said.

Ezell was pronounced dead at 8:55 p.m. Her body has been to Montgomery, Ala., for an autopsy.
