Weather: Holiday weekend looks clear, sunny and hot

Though some rain is expected today, the holiday weekend will bring lots of sunshine to the Chattahoochee Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

There's about a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Expect mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 89. Tonight's low should be around 71.

Friday brings partly sunny skies, with a high near 90. Friday night the low will hit around 69.

Saturday, look for mostly sunny skies and a high near 89. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Independence Day will also be mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Sunday night will bring partly cloudy skies, with a low around 71.
