Chamber golf tournament set for Oct. 29

The Phenix City Russell County Chamber of Commerce golf tournament is scheduled for Oct. 29 at Lakewood Golf Course.

The tournament is a major chamber fundraiser. It includes lunch (sponsored by Chick-fil-A) and golf for participants. Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. and the tee time begins at 12:30 p.m.

The event has space for 22 teams. The cost is $400 a team ($100 per person).

Prizes will be given for first, second and third place. Awards will also be given for closest to the hole, longest drive and hole in one.

Organizers are currently seeking donations of prizes, goodie bag items and sponsorships.
